Evo X SST Transmission issue

Good day Folks,

I’ve got a 2008 Evo X MR with the SST transmission and I’ve come across an issue. A little about the car, it has no mods other than UICP & LICP with a Walbro 255 pump.

Of recent when shifting the transmission mission from R to D the car’s idle fluctuates and sometimes stalls. If I start the car back up again and shift directly to D it would idle fine. When driving the car and I come to a stop under normal circumstances the car would do the similar idle fluctuation, however if I hear down to 1st gear when coming to the stop the car would idle flawlessly.

To me it feels as though the car is not disengaging the drive when coming to a stop.

Can someone help and point me in the right direction.

It was changed about 7000 miles ago.

It sounds almost like you have more modifications than you are aware of on the car, and it needs a tune to run properly. ARe you sure all you have is the UICP and LICP? Even those change air flow so I'd want a tune if it were my car.
