Mechanic ****ed up my Headlights up now they are not turning off
I had a mechanic come over just to check why my fan wouldn't turn on when the car got hot well the moron started using a power probe to check the fuses and he said wow something looks weird with your low beam fuses and he pulled out the relay and was checking them and he clicked the Probe to send 12v and was putting into the relay pins and turns out he send 12vs to the ECU in one of the pins and it did something and said oh wow I fixed it and the day after I noticed that the low beam headlights won't turn off even after I turn off the car. I Checked all the fuses and the relay and even replaced all of them. I never had any problem with the headlights only after he did that. I dont know if theres something i can do to fix it or not. I checked the Diagram and it showed that the pin goes to the ecu soo.. i really think it ****ed up something in the ecu.
You can take a DMM (Digital Multimeter) and put it into continuity mode (should be the omega symbol) and use it to test. The meter should beep when you touch the two probes together. Now pull out A-25x and put one of the probes into the slot for pin 1 (the one going back to the etacs) and one to chassis ground. Does it beep? Does turning the ignition on and switching on and off the headlights change anything? If it just beeps and beeps no matter what then you either have a short in your harness or there is an issue with the etacs.
