Hey guys, I've been looking into shops to take my 2014 Evo X MR to in the Central/North NJ area. I know of MP Built and RSW of course but I was wondering if there were any Evo specific shops in the area? I'm looking for a place to get a tune and general maintenance done mainly. Even if any of you are in the area to help me out and check out my car, me being a somewhat newbie, I guarantee you can do a MUCH better job than I can. Thank you in advance for reading and any advice you leave.

 

Are you looking for a knowledgable person to take a look over your Evo and see what is done to it and/or a shop to do work?

I can take a look over it. I am also in North Jersey. I am not a shop but I can help verify whats going on with the car.

 

I mean I'd absolutely be down to have you look at it. If I'd want anyone on this forum to do it, it'd probably be you hahaha I see you are super knowledgeable and have owned a couple Evo's. But if you do have any suggestions on tuner shops to go to in the area I'd appreciate it as well. I think I might need to get my exhaust redone or just get a new one. PM me if you'd wanna take a look at my car though. Again greatly appreciate your offer!

 

I don't have suggestions as I am also new to the area. I moved from the West Coast in February.

Would love the opportunity, I feel like most people I bring the car to don't know what they are doing, took to the Mitsubishi on 22 in the green brooke area, dont remember if it is green brooke or north plainfield and they barely knew wtf they were doing. All my friends are german guys too, bmw, mercedes, blah blah blah. Just out of curiosity what made you move out east? I'm looking to eventually move out to CA from NJ

 

The best Tuner in the east coast in my opinion is E-spec
Look him up in instagram especpower .He makes some magic numbers with evos.
Made some with mine as well.
unfortunately he is now just dedicated to only tunning evos nothing more.
so if you need someone to work on the car I would suggest IVEY Tune in Jersey.

I’m also from North Jersey, I second espec, I will be taking my evo to them in the next week for tuning. 500$ for a base map to get you to the dyno and dyno tuning. Hard to beat.
