Hey guys so I’m starting to build my Evo my self first time I do this my Evo is already makin 400hp but now I’m planing to get new pistons and sleeve it what else I need to make it at least 600hp

better ignition
pnp intake mani
pnp head since your already in there
maybe larger tb depends
The stuff you mentioned

have you build your Evo

 

The first 3 times yes. After that I was just to busy had a shop do it for me. When I was on a stock block yeah I did everything. When I went 2.4 had the shop do it cause of my busy schedule. I am just finishing up everything on the new build now and waiting to get tuned but with this stupid virus going around makes things harder.

 

I did the same thing you are.
I made 430 on stock turbo then went ***** deep sleeved / fully built top to bottom
Main thing you'll need is a proper fuel system and turbo
What turbo are you planning on using ?
also slot of ppl forget is the proper tools to do the job
micrometers, dial bore gauges , ect.

Turbo selection and fuel stuff are going to go off of hp goals. What kinda hp do you wanna make?

 

I wanna make at least 600 what you think I need

 

If this was an evo 8 or 9 I would say Fp black supporting mods all day long. But for an x I am sure others will tell you more then likely sleeve the block, pte turbo, smaller borg turbo, or any other turbo you may like that will support that hp level. I would do 1600cc injecors for a little headroom, speed density, build that head with good springs and retainers, GSC or Kelford 272 cams and thats about it really.
