Evo x - Removing Driver Seat Only

Hey guys!

I recently bought my dream car and have questions regarding removing the driver seat. Apparently the previous owner installed an aftermarket amp under the driver seat. I wanted to take a closer look at it but it looks like I have to remove the driver seat, it's causing white noise due to it not being grounded properly. I searched but I couldn't get the right answer on the driver seats removal. If I remove the front seats, with battery disconnected and plugin disconnected is it going to require me to re-calibrate the weight sensor like the passenger seat when I turn it back on? Or is it fine for me to remove the driver seat without any issue? I don't want to trigger any warning lights/air bags light.

Thank you for your help!

I haven't taken the seat out in probably 6-7 years. But I don't think I had to do anything special when taking it out. If I remember correctly, it was pretty much what you said. Disconnect battery, unplug all the wires from under the seat, and try not to scratch anything while taking it out.

Someone can definitely chime in here though, just in case I am wrong.

Make sure you disconnect he battery first anytime you're working with airbags. There is no calibration needed since there are no weight sensors in the drivers seat. I just removed both of my seats last week to install new ones. If you undo the 4 bolts, you can tilt the chair backwards to get to the plugs underneath.

Disconnect the battery and then remove the seat .if you want you can unbolt the seat leave it plugged in and tilt it back so you can work on the amp or what not
