Why do so many of you remove the engine cover and coil cover? The EVO MR i am buying tomorrow doesn't come with those parts. Should I not replace them?

To me, I feel the engine covers make for a clean OEM look, but most people take them off if they upgraded to the aluminum valve cover and got it powder coated which also looks good off at that point. It's really up to you but I would at least get a coil cover just to keep that area clean from dust as much as possible.

They do quiet down the injector / lifter noise and keep the spark plug / coil well in the valve cover cleaner but they aren't strictly necessary. I like mine. The Ralliart cover is all black which is an option too if you don't like the red.

There is no coil cover. The engine cover does both.
