Yes, but you need to use the CT9A diff cover, Evo RS bracket, Ralliart axles

RS Bracket:
3517A020

RA/CT9A rear diff
MR111746

CT9A rear diff cover
MR176887 (cover)
MF244882 (Bolts - 8 Required)

Finally, you loop the AYC line.

So, the short answer to this is "yes"...BUT you will need a custom rear bushing to hold this in place. Otherwise, you have to do what razorlab suggested and use an Evo IX cover. Trust me, I have seen one of these fall out of the back of a car dragging axles and everything else with it. Bushing or cover.

Just installed mine over the winter. Much like it was already stated, you need the RA diff and CV shafts. But you need the USDM 8/9 Diff cover and JDM X RS bracket. I reused my diff cover bolts from the Ralliart diff. You however do need to purchase 3x longer bolts to go through the X RS bracket into the 8/9 cover. You swap over the fill plug and breather from the RA cover, and use both your X diff mounting brackets on either side of the diff. Then it all bolts right up.

I also looped my AYC line, but now I'm going to be relocating the pump into the trunk so I'm wondering if I should keep the line looped or just plug up the 2 holes completely.

Bumping this cause it came up in my Google search.

I used a cz4a ralliart diff and used none of the extra stuff (other than the ralliart axles). Used the x differential ears.

Sent this bad boy off to TRE to get rebuilt with 12 clutch discs and added a rear cover sight Glass. The only extra thing I used was a longer rear diff bolt. It's been like 7 years since I did this mod so I don't remember the dimensions, but I think it was 105 mm in total length. Measure the dimensions and make sure you get a bolt that fully seats inside the diff cover bolt. Additionally, you'll need to stack some extra washers because there will be a small gap between the cover and the differential mount. I think I used three washers there.

Yes you need to swap in the Evo 8 rear axles. The Evo X axles will not work.
