I did my engine, trans and rear diff fluid change today on my evo x. I filled my rear diff and trans fluid to fill plug level, is that too much? TIA also what fluid do you guys recommend for winter months? I live in Canada and it reaches -30C +

 

As long as the car was level then I think you should be okay. The rear diff may be different though. I would be specific with those fluid levels.

I use OEM fluids for everything except the trans. For that I have used the Redline cocktail.

 

I ended up using oem for everything but I heard the redline works really well with transmissions. I also heard redline for ayc (on back side of rear diff) is good for winter months because the oem stuff tends to freeze

 

I live in Winnipeg so I know about freezing

I've only used OEM fluids in the rear diff and have had no issues. I've had this car for over 7 years and drive it every winter
