Is it okay to buy it like that?
Is it okay to buy it like that?
Hey guys!
I’m looking at a 2010/12 Lancer Ralliart, automatic.
The guy who is selling it says he spent more than $3000 on the automatic gearbox, and still has problems, he describes as: when the car is idling at normal engine temperature the transmission is just putting itself in neutral.
The mechanic of his tells that it only needs a sensor get replaced. Is it worth bothering or just pass it?

“Run” hahaha
You will probably have to “fork” up enough money to replace the tranny if you buy it.. so like 6k. Usually if I see a car for sale and the buyer claims it only needs _____, it almost never does. If a sensor fixed that problem, they would have replaced it by now.
