Wondering what the going rate is for a used longblock? I recently purchased a built longblock to replace my current setup. Stock block/head with low compression on cylinder 3 (130 psi) with slight leak down from rings on same cylinder. The other three cylinders are at 145-150 psi with no major leak down detected. I’ve boroscoped cylinder and found slight pitting, but nothing crazy for 90k miles. It still runs and drives/pulls, but I don’t have the time to tear it down and rebuild. I’m debating shipping core back to builder, but didn’t know what current going rate was, or if anyone was looking for a used longblock to sleeve and build.

 

Check out some of the Evo groups on Facebook. I've seen blocks for around
$1500 and complete running engines with around 50K for ~$4K.
