Need help with a Lancer conversion please

Hey all I will be currently dropping in a evo 10 engine to my lancer 2010. will my standard gearbox match the 4b11-T from the evo 10, and will I have to do any custom wiring? ( I know if the gearbox ends up fitting it will be FWD lol)
Thanks in advance 😊

I hate to be *that guy* but, ( All the money/time/effort it would take to make this work well + sell your lancer = buy an evo). There are so many other things besides "Will it physically bolt together" that you will be perpetually trapped in a money hole, and by the time you get out you could have bought an evo and saved yourself a bunch of time and frustration with a better end result.

If your heart is set on it though, you are looking at: Custom wiring w/ evo 10 harness + ECU + custom Tuning + fuel system upgrade w/ custom wiring + somehow coding ecu to lancer ETACS (if even possible). You will likely need custom exhaust work but even off the shelf evo exhaust systems aren't cheap. Assuming the trans will bolt up, you are going to at minimum need a clutch upgrade probably axles too. Does the Lancer have a front LSD? If not thats going to need to be added too. Your tires will need a big upgrade to handle the power, that means wheels too. The suspension will likely also need to be upgraded to handle the power. Then there is stopping all this new power, so a brake upgrade.....and on and on.... Just save your money and buy an evo, or if your patience is slim just grab a wrx.

Myself and a local are probably one of the only few that have successfully done this swap. It’s a lot of work. Nothing bolts up the way you think it should. You’re better off just boosting the NA engine and keeping it around 250whp, or like mentioned asking it and buying something else altogether.

its a great swap if you wanna be unique, and different from all the other cookie cutter Evo X builds. But it’s a lot of work and custom work, wiring, etc . If you’re paying somebody full Rate to do this, expect a 10-15k bill
