Yes, I don't recall the code at all I'm sorry.

I bought the car used in 2019. Car was bone stock or put back to stock. There wasn't a tune on it that I know of. If there was I'm sure the new motor wouldn't have worked. All those mods I had were on the prev motor and I didn't have any problems, nor light on. So, it's just really odd to me that there's a light on NOW! when there never was on the prev motor I had.

Thanks for the info.
Wonder if I should try https://www.sfxperformance.com/mfg/V...ors/page_1.htm

Mitsu dealers are kind of notorious for flashing over people's tunes. I'm not saying that happened, but it wouldn't surprise me at all.

Hey Dave,

It looks like we live pretty close to each other. I'm over in Poughkeepsie. I'm happy to take a look over the car and try to help out if you are interested in coming by.

Hey, Man Thanks for reaching out, you'd have to let me know what the diag pricing would be, I live in New Milford, CT, which is close to the NY line here, by Brewster, NY

I'm actually dropping my car off to the Hartford, CT dealership tomorrow. and I told them over the phone to call me when it's done right.

Keep this in mind.. THEY DO NOT HAVE A RENTAL CAR PROGRAM!!!!! What dealership doesn't have rental cars to be loaned out? I actually had to take money out of my RobinHood account back in August of last year since my car was at the dealers waiting on the new motor for four years. I wasn't happy with that. This has been nothing but a **** show for me.

One friend said sue, and then said just get rid of the car it's giving you this much hassle. it's hard to give up a car you wanted for a long time and came across it with only 23919 miles on it back in 2019. This is my last year paying off on it, since I took it out for 4 years.

-Dave

None at all, would do it as a fellow enthusiast. Let me know if the dealer still can't figure it out.

aww.. thanks man, that's much appreciated and awfully nice of you man. I'll let you know.

Just find it's odd about the old motor with the mods, and the new one with the same mods. My friend said and thinks they didn't plug something in all the way. And Jose should search around the EVAP solenoid and follow those lines. Could be the problem.

Whelp, the latest news is that all along the BOV was messed up!

Drove the car home tonight, had the guy turn the code off, code hasn't come back on yet, so maybe all this time it was the DAMN BOV!!!
Which I didn't know. Since I could hear the swishing noise. And when Eric and I went to the rock show about a week ago it worked just fine, then all of a sudden the thing froze up, and that's when it needed to be cleaned.

So, I guess the valve was opening somewhat to make me think it was working well, but in reality, it wasn't. And I've been bothering the people at the dealership ever since I had the new motor be put into the car

So, I'm looking into getting a brand new BOV, instead of going a used route

https://www.maperformance.com/produc...x-ts-0215-1022
https://www.maperformance.com/produc...-9-evo-x-t9033

Looking at those two, Like the price of the GFB.

I pretty much got a polite and professional 'GO POUND SAND' from the women service writer today. As in go away, get a tune. They, actually had to call http://rrtmotorsports.com/ which is in Canton, CT to have the main guy there try to help them out with what the problem was with the car and the damn service engine soon light that won't go away. But, from what they said the engine is performing as it should. Keep in mind that my car sat in their garage from August 1st of last year to the Nov sometime. And also the BOV does collect a lot of dirt and grime. I looked it up that you should maintain it every six months.

But at any rate that's my story.

Thanks for listening and trying to help.

Weird huh!?

"Turbosmart recommends that the following maintenance procedure be carried out at six-monthly intervals or higher intervals if the environment is dusty or wet. Regular maintenance will ensure that your BOV is operating at its peak performance and will extend the product's working life."

This is the BOV I have right now. I will say I had mine powder coated when I bought it from the https://www.facebook.com/groups/225863667537263
It was fine when I got it in from the seller, but when I sent it out. The Powder coater didn't block off the trumpet. So, the brass got all muffed up, My friend cleaned it only once since iI had it, and again yesterday. I will say it was suck. He had to bang on the brass piece to get it to come loose so he could oil the whole thing up.

Well, either way, I figured after 15 miles the light would come back on. But it hasn't yet. I Do think it's all because of how dirty the blow-off got and it just seized up from opening and closing. Plus, I didn't know this blow-off wasn't able to do 50/50, full recirculating. Like the link, I left last night on here. So, I believe I've been running full vent to atmosphere. Which I hear is bad without a tune, but running full recirculating and or 50/50 is fine with our cars for the time being, since stock blkow-off is a full recirculating device.

The Turbosmart Smart Port Blow Off Valve is nice since you can tune it to what you want to have it be used for. "Just like the previous Type 5, the Smart Port can also be easily converted to either a full vent-to-atmosphere or full-recirculating BOV, thanks to its modular fitting system."

So, like I said it's either this turbosmart bov, or the go fast bits. Which can be tuned to what you'd like to be used for. Also, the price looks good for me for the GFB.

Or just use oem.

Thanks homie, I've been searching, and it seems I have a very small window on what BOV i can use with my setup from ETS.
I'll look into the TIAL and see if there's some vids on youtube.
