Gas smell when I turn on the ac or heater

Hello, I recently purchased a used automatic evo x and it has 66k miles on and recently I be getting a gas smell when I turn on the ac or heater and I can see a white smoke coming out on the hood but not a lot. Do you guys have any clue?

Hi. Seems like you are losing fuel somewhere but that can be several different things:
  • Check for leaks all the way that fuel is going thru engine, especially near injectors.
  • Check if the evap tank isn't full
  • Check if oil catch can isn't full if you have one

Do you have a catch can in your engine bay with little filters on top?

Maybe make sure the injectors are sitting tight in the rail? Sometimes O rings can deteriorate over time and it will leak there which is a big problem.
