EVO X Staggered Wheel Help
EVO X Staggered Wheel Help
Hi I recently got hold of some rare ame shallen wheels.
They are 19 inches However i found out that two of them are 9j and the other two are 10j.
The offset is the same on al wheels at +20.
My question being: keeping the rolling radius the same on all four wheels would 255 35 19 on all fours be good?
My car isn't lowered, it's purely all stock suspension, stock ride height and i have zero plans to lower it.
Here below is the comparison of a 255 35 19 9J vs 255 35 19 10J. I've obtained this data from a site called "willtheyfit"
Diameter
255 35 19 9j 661.1mm
255 35 19 10j 661.1mm
Circumference
255 35 19 9j 2076.9mm
255 35 19 10j 2076.9mm
Poke
255 35 19 9j 94.3mm
255 35 19 10j 107mm
Inset
255 35 19 9j 134.3mm
255 35 19 10j 147mm
Speedo error
255 35 19 9j 0%
255 35 19 10j 0%
Reading at 30mph
255 35 19 9j 30mph
255 35 19 10j 30mph
Reading at 60mph
255 35 19 9j 60mph
255 35 19 10j 60mph
Ride height gain
255 35 19 9j 0mm
255 35 19 10j 0mm
Arch gap loss
255 35 19 9j 0mm
255 35 19 10j 0mm
From what i can see the diameter of the wheels has no difference between the two rim widths, only that one rim will have more of a poke than the other which i do not mind at all.
I'd understand if the wheels were different sizes (for example two being 19inches and two being 18inches) that this would affect the AWD but i cannot see how the width will affect the AWD system when the rolling radius is the same or has such an insignificant difference (a few mm or less).
Someone suggested that weight of the wheels 9j Vs 10j could present a problem but logically that doesnt make sense. So if I put a pile of bricks in my trunk or had two people sit in the back there would be more weight on the rear end for example in that case and that should cause diff/transfer box problems?
Appreciate all your comments
Thanks
