2015 Final Edition MT or 2013 MR SST-AT?
2015 Final Edition MT or 2013 MR SST-AT?
**** I ended up buying the 2013 EVO MR today. 8/7/2023. I'll be sure to post a proper new member greeting post with pics as soon as the car gets here Friday.*****
Hello everyone, I'm ready to pull the trigger on either 1 of 2 cars: A built 2013 Lancer EVO X MR SST-AT or a clean 2015 Lancer EVO X Final Edition MT. Both are approx. 60k Odometer and are in very clean shape. Well taken care of. Both are similar price:$32k. I'm very torn on both. The 2013 MR would be the first tuner I've owned that has AT (SST).
My Previous Tuners (I consider the Manaro CV8-Z/GTO to be a V8 tuner, not a "muscle car"): 1. 2005 Pontiac GTO 6 Speed MT LS2 V-8 400RWHP: Badge engineered into Australian Holden Manaro CV8-Z. 2005-2010. 2. 2005 Subaru WRX STi sedan 6 Speed MT ~350AWHP 2010-2016. 3. 2013 Subaru WRX STi Hatchback 6 Speed MT 425AWHP 2016-2020. (Just listing these to let everyone know I have a small bit of experience with tuners and not my first whip.)
I've always wanted, no lusted, for an EVO since 1996 (13 y.o. at the time) and the Lancer EVO IV days. What do my fellow enthusiasts think? Which would you choose? I'll be making my own choice, but I'm certainly not above hearing other people's thoughts. MT or AT-SST? Final Edition or MR?
Note #1: The 2013 MR has the touring package with sunroof.
Note #2: I cannot copy photos of the cars due to website limitations and privacy concerns since I own neither yet. Whichever I choose I'll be sure to upload some pics.

(Text copied from website) First of all, with this 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR, you'll be driving a sight to behold with the sleek Mercury Gray metallic paint that shimmers under the light. Adorned with Konig freeform 18x9.5+25 radium bronze ceramic coated wheels, this Evo rides on new Falken Azenis FK510 tires, which offer unparalleled grip and handling. The current owner reported some impressive modifications, including new Varis taillights, smoked 3rd brake light, Varis carbon fiber diffuser, fender vents, and a JDP carbon fiber front lip. The SSP headlights have been blacked out, adding a touch of aggression. The cabin of the 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR resembles a cockpit of a fighter jet with its high-tech gauges and advanced audio system. The dash is equipped with an Innovate Motorsports ethanol content gauge, and AFR/boost gauge provides real-time data. These gauges are mounted on a Rexspeed carbon fiber dual gauge pod. A custom carbon fiber passenger A-pillar enhances the sporty look of the cabin. The Focal PS165 V1 front component speakers deliver crystal-clear audio and the JL Audio subwoofer provides deep, powerful bass. With a Focal PS165 rear speaker, a Kenwood double-din screen with navigation and Google Assistant, a JL xd700/5v2 amplifier, and a JL 10w3v3 subwoofer in a custom box, this audio system is a true audiophile's dream. The owner also installed full sound deadening throughout the car.
(Text copied from website) Under the hood of this 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR, you get a tuned 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. Equipped with many aftermarket engine components adding power, this car not only performs well, it looks stunning doing it. The suspension sports front and rear Whiteline adjustable sway bars keep the car stable through corners. The engine is adorned with a Splatter Black powder-coated aluminum valve cover. It is further modified with MAP upper and lower pipe, Kozmic 4" intake, and an ETS anodized black front-mounted intercooler designed to increase performance. An FP Red turbo with an anti-surge housing, ID 1,300cc injectors, a Walboro 450 lph driven fab flex fuel kit, and a Grimmspeed manual boost controller works together to deliver raw power and speed. The ETS wide-mouth downpipe, ETS quiet V3 high-flow cat-back, and Tial QRJ blow-off valve, coupled with a Turbo Smart 22psi wastegate and an Agency Power tubular manifold, create an exhaust note that is nothing short of symphonic. The engine is also fitted with RK titanium spark plug covers, RK titanium radiator pipes, and Radium dual catch cans, further improving performance and durability. And to top it off, the car has a recent tune-up with a Moore Automotive flex fuel tune and an AMS fuel pressure regulator.

Note #5: Obviously, the 2013 Lancer EVO X MR represents someone else's previous build, while the 2015 Lancer EVO X Final Edition is a blank canvas so to speak. Both are capital D dope af. The 2013 MR is grey with gold/bronze Konig rims. The 2015 EVO Final Ed. is white with factory Mitsubishi anthracite rims.
Note #6: The 2013 MR has Airlift Performance suspension (airbags; a.k.a. "hydraulics".)
Note #7: I have a third party inspection report on both cars: Lemon Squad. Since both cars are very far from my home state of Colorado, I'll be making the purchase remotely using Carfax and third party inspection reports.
Thanks for the input everyone!

I would take the 15 fe I don’t see anything about transmission work on the mr and with a fp red on stock tranny on the mr I would be concerned plus not knowing the abuse the car has been under at those power levels. I personally would go fe.
