Nothing yet. My tuber is working on a client with the same issue. Definitely something in the rom causing it

Yea ive been skimming through everything looking for any possibilities. Supposedly i read sometimes disabling lean spool can have an effect on connectability. And looking into how to force the CVN to display the original checksum ect.... If nothing else works I'm going to register it out of state for the next 4 years until it's exempt.

 

Damn, my evo is a 06 so I gotta wait another 8 years. Don't have anyone to register out of state. So im hoping Manny can find a fix or imma go back to stock if I can.

 

You can have a company register your car in montana. Yea your supposed to register your car within 30 days of being here but its hard to prove you dont go back and forth and as long as your not getting tickets constantly cops don't care. Is your car bot communicating with the inspection machines like mine is?

 

Yeah, I don't think I want to do that. Imma either wait it out, or dig out all my old parts and go back to stock for now.

 

You might have to get a fresh ECU if you can even get one anymore

 

Can't just put a stock tune back on?

 

Depends, if it's like California which I have a feeling it is, when you flash the ECU it changes the CVN number and if the CVN number doesn't match what's on record from the factory then it won't work. Again not sure if it is yet, will find out in the coming months

 

have you spoke to another tuner about this? Like ESpec?

 

I spoke with Raf (I think his name is) but he's in Connecticut. He's the one that said once the ECU is flashed it'll never pass again but he's also in Connecticut and not New York.
