I read soemwhere that the US spec evo and the jspec evos are going to be evolving in different directions...
so maybe to keep up witht he us market mitsu will put the 4g64 bottom on the 4g63 and go from there to eliminate you guys from needing a stroker kit....
i agree on the bs on twin turbo...tt on a 4cyl...is not needed
jst becasue WRC doesnt let the 2.5L fly doesnt mean that the US market wont get it...look the the 2.5L STI...
plus i thought they announces that WRC was gonna change some rules around. like get rid of FI, and go all N/A?....and maybe letting the competitors go to a 2.5L set-up to make up for it

I have a friend who has a friend how knows somebody at Mitsu in Japan who knows his brother who is his roomates cleaning lady of the engineer at Ralliart. Anyway, she found papers saying they're going to strap a huge long rocket on the roof and add wings in the new Evo X...

People, the evo is about performance. Styling is there to back it up. If the X
looked exactly like that picture , but ran 0-60 around 4 seconds with better handling and braking than the VIII - I would buy it in a heartbeat. My gut feeling agrees with the previous post. What we are seeing is the base lancer design. The evo will have the spruced up fenders, body kit, and wing to appease the enthusiasts just like the previous iterations.

Uh...
You guys are trying to stop something that has been happening since the Evo VII. The Evo VII and VIII were meant to be more livable and more "M3-like" than their predecessors. The older Evos were more raw than any of the CT9As.

Yes - seems to be some brow raising claims here. I wouldn't be surprised if some turn out to be true, though.
Just to bring some of you up to speed, Turbo Magazine June 05 is featuring a Blitz Twin Turbo stock block Sti.
Don't be surprised to see this technology surface.
Interestingly I have also heard of guys running a supercharger on top of a turbo!!!
