I put the boost gauge in the glove box.

I don't need to see it every day, it's more like one of those bling mods that attracts attention, the only time I need to see it is when we are on the dyno.

Rear badge makes a nice interior upgrade! LOL

Quick question. Does the Tru-boost come with a gauge pod or will I have to buy that seperately? Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Jesse

It is a saleen gauge pod, it should work well on top of the center dash section above the radio/nav display.

I really like the glovebox mount...maybe you should get a grommet to put around that hole...it's will definitly look a lot cleaner

They are likely running a HKS camp 2 into the aux in on the nav.

The only hack for the navi now is the DVD in motion hack.

Steering column, where the boost gauge covers from like 150mph to 190 on the speedo. I dont see any worries about covering that part of the speedo since I'm yet to read about an X buzzing 190.

With the stock gearing it just isn't possible without going with larger diameter tires and/or 4.11 final drive. Currently I have my boost guage on the upper left of my steering column and A/F on the upper right. I lose the 1500-2500 RPM needle behind the boost gauge but it's very easy to see when watching RPM's. The A/F gauge only blocks the 190+ area so perfect positioning on the right side. I'm using that Radio Shack plastic velcro stuff that is super strong and the gauges don't move at all. The double stick tape on it is also temp rated so it won't fall off on hot days.

Thought I would give a little bit of what I was doing.

First of all:
  • The Metra kit is ****ty. On top of that, I wanted the HU on the bottom, and the Metra is set up to be only on the top. So, it ended up being more work than I thought.
  • This is a temporary solution while I decide what Double DIN I want (and can afford).
  • My gauges are made out of paper and tape. Sorry.
  • It sure the hell isn't perfect, but as a temporary solution, I like it!

Knob is for GPS.

I'll be installing my audio stuff this weekend, and eventually I'll get around to ordering gauges.

Thanks! I don't really watch the tv thou, use it more as a reverse camera. Was thinking of adding the HKS camp II to it!
