HOW TO: ETS Exhaust Install
HOW TO: ETS Exhaust Install
This is my first how to so here goes.
First, your going to want to get the vehicle up off the ground. I have access to a lift so thats what I used. To make things a little easier I will simply describe the pictures.
1. Car being lifted by my buddy Jason.
2. View of the car on the lift from underneath.
3. Here is a picture of the full catback section. The circled portions in the pictures are the bolts that need to be removed. The bolts closer to the front of the vehicle are 17mm and the bolts connecting the muffler are 14mm.
After removing the stock catback which I will assume you are capable of completing this without further explination. You will begin the installation of the ETS exhaust.

As before I will simply describe the attached images.
1. This is where the ETS midpipe attaches to the stock cat portion. I had to trim the sheet metal heat shield. The flange on the ETS midpipe is obviously larger than the stock piece.
2. This is the ETS piece installed.
3/4. Next install the muffler support bracket there are two aluminum sleeves per side that should be install inside the stock rubber hanger. Two pics of this piece.
5. Use the remaining hardware to hang the mufflers and there sections.
The last step is to insure the two exhaust tips are aligned properly. Also, make sure you go back and check all the connections to be sure that they are secure. I skip a few steps that I felt didn't need explination. Hope this helps all who by this product. The exhaust looks and sounds kickass. The only thing I would have liked is for ETS to have provided a new gasket between the catted portion and the catback. Also, I had to make a relief cut in the end of the muffler to allow the exhaust tip clamp to be properly secured.
Thanks,
Jesse
