My idea that I have been researching is this pod:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Subar...spagenameZWD1V

It matches the stock pod perfectly. They have them in carbon too. Just a matter of routing the wires from the gauges.

The other option that is less obtrusive would be the hks camp 2 system, a little pricey still, some like $1100.

So far I haven't seen a setup I like cept the glove box option.

I will post some pics when I get mine setup!

That's looks pretty good. I"m assuming you can safely remove the A pillar, right? I just don't want to mess with the SRS. My other option would be to mount my gauge close to where your wideband gauge is, right on the dash. I hate drilling expensive parts though!

I dont know why everyone is so concerned about the A Pillar.
There is NO AIRBAG BEHIND THE A PILLAR!

Where do the side airbags deploy from? (not meaning it to sound rude )

Its a curtain, I have taken the A Pillar off, no airbag behind it.
I shall attach this picture again.

As you can see airbag isnt close to the A Pillar.

Not tring to be argumentive but I took my A pillar off (when I put in my rear view mirror) and towards the top(think near the roof of the car) there is absolutely an airbag up there. Matter of fact the A-pillar cover has a little plastic thing attaching it to the car to probably keep it from slinging off and causing further injury in case of an accident

also if you look at your picture here you can see that the sterring wheel isnt blown open where the airbag comes out and neither is the passenger therefore leading one to believe that the A-pillar would still be in tact also even though the airbag covering the drivers and passengers window is protected by it

So do we have confirmation that if the airbags go off, the a-pillar isn't flying at you, just for everyones sake?

ok.... the steering wheel isn't "blown" open in the picture or the other parts, to facilitate knowing where they are located. That picture is NOT one of the actual airbags deployed, but of one showing where they "would" be in fact if they did deploy.

as for the a pillar, I have not personally pulled mine off so i can't say. I take the words of people that have done it, but only because i can't tell if they are DDB or not. I must assume they are at least somewhat competent, since they did manage to pull the cover off in the first place. :P

p.s. DDB = Deaf, Dumb, Blind

Trust me there is an airbag back there it is just really close to the top. I "THINK" that you might be ok with putting your gauges at the very bottom close to the dash as there is a little strap behind it that keeps the pillar from flying off and causing injury

I just said that in my last post........but none the less here are the pictures

here is one with the cover on just for reference

on the next one it is a little bit hard to see as i didnt take the cover all the way off. I just ran out to the car and took these pictures but you can clearly see that the airbag is under the A-pillar at the top. also you can see the little strap that I was talking about that holds the A-pillar in place once the airbags deploy

and oh one other thing never mind the card that you see going over the airbag there. I have those tucked up above the airbag but they fell down when I was taking the pictures. They are for my rear view mirror and also my radar detector

It looks like the pillar is a little more complex than most other a pillars I've seen and also makes it less likely that we will see triple gauge a pillar pods coming out in the near future. Looks like it's time for the fiberglass masters to get crafting over the stock pillar...

I'll be either getting a custom a pillar triple gauge pod fabbed or waiting until some other mounting solutions come out because I can't stand the single pods mounted to the pillar or the center dash setups either, it's just personal preference. ~Trent
