This is not the case for me. A couple years ago I bought some wheels from a friend that lived out of town. I put the new wheels on at his house just to make sure they fit, and I drove home with the stock wheels inside the car. It was about an hour and a half drive to get back home and the alarm never kicked on until I took the stock wheels out of the car and backed out of the garage.

I had gone to the dealership to get this done, seems like the airbag SRS lights are linked to them so he wont touch it

I seriously doubt the TPMS is linked to the airbag SRS lights. A lot of us run with the TPMS sensor warning off and we don't get airbag warnings.

Here's an idea. Get a set of programable TPMS sensors from DTD. Have them programmed with the same ID's as the stock sensors. I would think this would fool the TPMS ECU into thinking they were the same wheels.

They aren't listed on their site, its a (DTD) dealer item only, you just have to know someone who has an account.

Just something to think about.

I take it when the light/warning is engaged, it does not effect performance in any way?

Put a piece of black tape over the TPMS light and bam! FIXED

Otherwise.. go buy or source the sensors and put them on the new wheels.

The only solution that seems to work is to "clone" your sensors. See this thread - https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...oven-work.html

I have done 5 sets and they have all worked perfectly.

Here is some info on TPMS light regulations, pretty much seems that a shop/repair facility can't do it, but nothing says that you can't
