If you have any specific questions about installing the intake message me. I have it on my X and figured out how to do it with the horrible instructions

lets just say its easier to figure it out yourself and not knowing anything about cars, than it is using their instructions

I did not have any problem with the instructions myself, they were pretty clear to me. Then again I've completely removed and torn-down/rebuilt a couple of engines in my life, so I know a few things about cars. My advice here would be to take your time and follow the instructions step by step, this is a pretty involved install considering that it's an intake.

Now, the biggest problem I had is that its pretty cramped in that engine bay and trying to get the hose-clamp lined up and tight on the inlet pipe to the turbo was a PITA. In the end I used a socket extension with a swivel adapter to get the clamp tight. Their might have been an easier way to do it but nothing came to mind at the time. Maybe, flipping the hose clamp over and coming at it from the driver's side vs. over the engine would have worked for me, I just didn't feel like pulling the inlet back out.

I actually just installed mine and I agree that the instructions do kind of suck, for the most part they are pretty simple and straight forward. The main thing I had an issue with is understanding how to connect the two 5/16 hoses from the inlet tube (took me about 30 mins...) to the wastegate wastegate solenoids. this thread might help:

Also, to some of you guys that already have them installed. Is it just that I messed up or is the inlet duct fit a little loose (not flush) to the air box??? I double checked that I had eveything nice and tight, but still seems like there is some play between both

Yep, there is a little play/space between the inlet duct and the air box in my install. I didn't see anyway to make it tighter but is also didn't seem to be anything to worry about in my opinion. I don't think the air box and inlet duct will become disconnected as there doesn't appear to be enough play for that to happen.

damm after reading all this omg, i need help on my aem intake i thought it was going to be something tuff, it was actually very easy and it just required common sense, however, theres so noice mine is making like if something was loose, i think its the bov hitting up on the strut bar, i think amma have to have something in the middle that will keep each other from hitting wen the car vibrates.

dude it sounds stock... seriously I hear no difference.

Its a bit smoother on the top end and revs faster but that's all I feel.

No other mods though.

It probably is. Like a rattle? Is your vaccum line tight? ...I had the same problem. The OEM vaccum line is a little short and actually pulls the BOV over and sometimes rattles against the stut bar. I had to cut a longer length of hose and install and voila!

I had to work to get the BOV to not hit the plastic cover for the battery terminals...

Also, the cone filter was rubbing a bit in the box until I rejiggered some stuff.

I just installed my intake this morning and remembered a couple of guys saying the duct is loose. Did you guys transfer the foam padding from the stock box? That's what I did, and duct is nice and tight.
