I have this. Very simple just run a switch to the fogs from the fuse box. Make sure to turn your fogs of though or they will stay on even if the car is off... Happens every now and then. Walk all the way down the parking lot at night then realize... S**T I left my da**n fogs on! Walk all the way back.

I changed my fogs to red, daytimes to red, and corner lights, and corner blinkers to red looks pretty cool to rock them all on without the headlights.

yea thats a simple way but i want a more legit way, so i dont have to worry about shutting them off with an aux switch. i want it to be the regular switch in parking light position(if possible)

Ive been waiting for someone to post this...

I like the idea of utilizing the stock fog switch as well.

There has to be a way, but I haven't really looked at the schematics for it and I'm hoping it might be controlled from the computer and not a circuit being completed when the headlights are turned on.

This is the link gotrnet is talking about...but it looks like it wont be much help. My $.02-pull the fogs and let the air get to the oil cooler and brakes better

Instead of powering them with 12v power straight from the fuse box, try using the power signal to the parking lights to the signal side of a 30 amp relay (assuming that is enough amp rating) and then run the 12v power to the supply side. Ground the relay and send the power output to the foglights.

That should trigger the flow of electricity to turn them on whenever the parking lights are on. You could even throw a switch in the relay circuit to deactivate it. As always make sure you use proper gauge wiring and appropriate fuses for safety.

i believe the one that 08evoxgsr posted is for the evo VIII and IX models (i very well could be wrong and even if it is for the VIII and IX's it doesn't mean it won't necessarily work for the x i personally have not tested it). there is a link off the thread i posted to a pdf with a few pictures and things. essentially you tap into the ground and ground it out yourself with a switch so you can control when they come on. i used a relay so that they couldn't be on when the car wasn't running but you could just as easily hook that relay to the parking lights and use them as the trigger.

that would be the best bet with the parking lights, use the fog lights as your running lights.
