hey guys.. i was wonderin if anyone knows if short attenas fit on the GSR with the SSS package. I didn't know if they fit cause of the sat. radio.. if it doesnt, i was wondering if anyone knew how to make the stock one shorter, since i already saw another X with the SSS package and smaller attena. i also don't mind losing the sat. radio since i'm never going to use it.. thanks for your help and sorry if this is a repost :]

 

you can cut the stock one, or get the perrin 4" or 2", i got the 4" and i love it. fits perfect and the radio reception is good also

 

if you do get the Perrin shorty antenna, make sure you either get it at perrin's website. DO NOT buy the one from lancershop, they are FALSELY advertising that it the antennas fit the X when in reality, they only fit the VIII/IXs.

Oh and I've inquired about that, and they won't believe me so they aren't going to refund me my purchase (provided I send them the antenna back of course).

I'm using one off a 07 Lexus RX 350, I just swapped them off, it works great! Not as short as a 2" but lots better looking, it seal tight too.

 

Just trim the stock one. It's a free mod.

 

this a pic of my car with the Perrin 2" shorty antenna. i recommend it.

 

I got the perrin 4" and it' great. I was worried about reception but imho its slightly better than stock.

 

I just got my Perrin Shorty 4". It's definitely 3" long though... When I first opened it, I thought they shipped me the wrong one - I guess the 4" Shorty is a little shorter than 4"? I can't imagine how short the 2" is then, it must look ridiculous.

 

buy a honda ap2 s2000 one. it works great on mind!

hey I was just wondering is there a difference in quality of sound or static when purchasing a 2" vs. 4" vs. stock

 

i can't speak for the 4" but i noticed no difference in reception between between the stock and the 2". that being said i will say i don't listen to regular radio much, most just sirius.

 

so is perrin the only legit shorty antenna for our X's?
