Hks Ssqv Bov

Hi Bros, just wondering, has any Bros here installed the HKS SSQV BOV on the X MR??

Coz I took out the Stock BOV, and there is another hole from the Pipe of the Air Intake. So which means, there is a main pipe which goes in the front, and another at the bottom to the pipe for the Air Intake

The HKS BOV has only got 1 Hole for Pipe......so Anybody got any idea how do I get it in??

Thanks

Julian

yes .. seriously ..

SSQV is a VTA (vent to atmosphere) not a recirc type ..

Good luck .. your FC is going to go south very very fast

it should have came with an aluminum plug and clamp to cap off that hole on your intake pipe. did you buy kit specifically made for the evo x (that comes with the 2pc. intercooler pipe) or the universal kit?

I bought it 2nd hand......thats why it did not come with the clamp or plug.

Its also a reason why I am unable n unsure on how the installation goes.

for a temp fix, you're prolly better off with a twist-off gallon milk jug cap and a hose clamp. you've got a decent amount of suction going on. don't quote me on the "milk" cap because i'm not sure of exact size of the hole, but you get the idea.

if you're talking about getting a new suction pipe with no hole, i haven't come across any. all the intakes i've seen for the x... aem, ams, buschar, etc. all have a hole to accomodate your stock bypass valve.

i currently have the aem intake and i had to plug it. i'm sure you'll come up with something. be resourceful

Edit: Buschur... sorry Dave, please don't smyte me with your godly tuning powers!

they sell the caps on ebay, i have the same bov but i recirculated it (the kit comes with the recirc. fitting on the bov side) all you have to do is get a hose that will fit it and your good to go
