so did you end of getting all of the other features (quarter mile, RPM, speed, etc) to work?

 

Ok here we go, the RPM wire is located under the hood on the harness connected to the ECU. It's pin 4 (ignition coil 1) the wire is white with pink stripe.


Now for the speed sensor it is behind the stereo from one of the harness connected to your head unit the wire is white with blue stripe

The Nav use the speed sensor thats why you see two wire splice to it on the picture ( I have a pioneer avic d3 )

Do you have anymore pics of where this wire is? I was looking in the fuse box but cant find a white with pink stripe wire.

 

I don't have more picture, the wire is not in the fuse box it is going to the ecu (engine control unit) under the hood just beside the batterry conection and the fuse box there is a metal sheild over the harness connector going to the ecu. If my memory is good, you need to get rid of it to acces the wire.
In one of the photo I have post you can see it, and the blue wire connect to the white with pink stripe wire that you can't see on the picture because it is under the tape

you guys could of used the evo 1-9 DYI as well lol.. pretty much the same way

 

Ok I found the ecu and there is 2 wiring harnesses. Is it the top one or the lower one?, as well the metal plate on the ecu is riveted on or lock bolted on if I take this off will it void the warranty?. Is there a way to do this without taking this metal cover off?.

 

Its th e top connector. If you could get to the wire without removing it go ahead. I remove the shield end everyone that send there ecu for flashing had to remove this sheild its the only way to disconnect the wire from it. Regarding warranty ??

 

How does this work with the FAST system? Does it conflict at all?

Does the key fob need to be in the car as the timer counts down?

I just wanted to say great thread, I installed my turbo timer last week using this and it worked great.

Yes it works but you may have to calibrate it
