Replacing the EVO X wing with lower profile

I was in search of replacing my EVO tall wing with the lower/shorter profile one. I posted an add on Craigslist and found someone who wanted to swap wings. (Funny, seems all the young GTS owners out there want the EVO look) LUCKY ME!!! I didn't care for the asthetics of the tall wing!

We originally thought the wing mounting holes were the same but they were not. Instead of him drilling holes and me filling them, we decided to change out the entire decklid. Luckily the car was the same color, which I posted in the add what color I preferred. The swap is very easy, very little tools, a few bolts, a sharpie (trace the old brackets for proper fealligning) and simple as that. All tailights are the same so they stayed in tack with the decklid.

With a little mineral spirits the parts tag comes right off.

If this is not an option for most and prefer to change out the wing by drilling or filling holes than only a couple holes need to be drilled and filled. An easy fix to fill is with a couple of fasteners found in your local parts store in the HELP area.

I heard the VIN numbers are on the trunk. Did you notice any?

Yes they are but it's a sticker that can be removed.

Why would you want the shorter one? It doesn't look as good. High wing or lip spoiler ftw.

Understandable! I not a fan of either wing. Inconspicuous trunk lid or a small lip would be nice. Save the wings for the boy-racers or actual racers!

Yeah not into the HEY LOOK AT ME deal. Rather go for the sleeker/sleeper look. Bad enough every police officer and (wanna be/oh I had an EVO once) car enthusiast.
How is the test pipe? Any difference? I want a deep sound, not a loud smelly obnoxious exhaust.
I live close to PERRIN PERFORMANCE and am going to hook the car up.
Getting the COBB AccessTUNER Pro from them with the APS 2morrow.

What happened to the 'Multi-quote' button?

+1 Doesn't really do it for me either; the aesthetic really loses it's edge. But if the sleeper look is what your going for then the shorter wing should help.

G'day to all... does anyone know and have step by step instructions on how to remove the evo x boot spoiler?... in particular the plastic section on the underside of the spoiler?.. I'm thinking of colour coding it, however I have no clue how to remove the plastic section... any and all help would be much appreciated.. Thanks in advance!
