how to debadge trunk emblems?
Not feeling the love for the
?
I debadged my toyota MR2 by sitting at a stop sign waiting for cross traffic to clear so I could turn left. A 94 Cadillac Sedan rear ended me. I asked Toyota to delete the logos......
I think the dental floss/fishing line method would have been quicker though.

Just debadged my 2010. Hair dryer, goo gone, dental floss routine. I did this on my '09 ralliart and it was no problem. On my 2010 there is a little "sunburn" where the mitsubishi badge was. All adhesive has been removed. How do I get rid of this?? All the other badges came off without a problem. I've only seen this happen on older cars?
Just read this post..removed the badges in <5 minutes.
I used floss, broke a couple times, but it did the job.
As for removing the adhesive glue, have the car sit in the sun for a little while and just roll it with your fingers and it comes off. The use windex and a cloth to get any tiny amounts off.
The only thing is..that after 5 years, there is a slight decoloration of where the badges were. I assume a waxing would remove this.
Just wanted to also post that it was an easy job.

I found regular old string to be FAR more effective than dental floss. It kept breaking on me.
I heated the trunk, soaked a piece of string in some orange cleaner, then sprayed the logos, and the string went through the adhesive like a hot knife through butter. From there it was all about getting the rest of the adhesive off of the trunk, which I found was easier done when completely dry.
