LED Trunk lights
Nothing too fancy, just bought some LED clusters from ebay (about $10 each). I think something like this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Fantastic-Wide-V...3A1%7C294%3A50
Make sure they are the "Wide Viewangle" or wide angle LED's. They come all solder'ed up and ready to go with pos/neg wires.
Just disconected the factory light and then unsnapped it. The positive wire in my car was pink, and negative purple. Be careful when working on and cripming the wires, because as long as your trunk is still open, the wire is live.
I used 2 of the clusters (one on each side of the trunk, but you can probably get away with 1 near the stock bulb location being brighter than the stock bulb. Just wired them up and used some nice 3M double sided tape to hold them up. Not sure if they will stay through the las vegas summer heat with the tape, but I can screw them in if I need to. Use some rubbing alcohol on both surfaces before sticking the tape.
Anyway, here's a couple of pics. It is WAY brighter than the stock light using 2 clusters. The LED's are bright white, not too blue. I think they sell different colors if you are into that.

not to revive an old thread, but I was looking at my trunk and noticed that I only have one light that is close to my subwoofer. I plan on replacing mine with an LED this weekend.

Uhh yeah Old thread but FYI if you disconnect the neg terminal on your batter those wires would not be live and there for much safer... If your doing electrical work please disco the battery!
