So you are saying that the real carbon looks fake, so go buy the fake stickers and have that put on so it looks more real?? I'm confused...

3m vinyl for the win! seen it done in my shop and it looks good plus you can choose the shade of carbon or choose to have it BBY to match your exterior (very nice touch) seen it done on a custom G35 sub trunk layout and a lambo orange evo interior and the colour match carbon is a real treat for the eyes. and WAYYYYYY less hassle. Glue and a heat gun and you're game. Sounds stupid that it looks better than real carbon but when someone finds lambo orange dry carbon i can buy by the yard...PM me

fishstix... he is using real CF in the first post... you can see the woven carbon fraying at the ends.
Carbon fiber represents a high performance material adding strength and reducing weight in its conventional usage. Coming from someone who is infatuated with overall look and design produced by the weave of the fiber, I find any imitation an "epic-fail", if you will, of an attempt to try to bring the same point across. You can't beat the real thing in this case and saying that the imitation would provide a "better" look seems quite comical to me.
