I did it but my headlights flickering. Then I rewired the relay, now with just one click it turned parking lights and headlights ON at the same time, no need for the second click. Is this right ? Just ask to comfirm

I have parking lights, low beams, high beams, and fogs working accordingly...
where is this purple wire that you speak of??

hey so i found out the 2010 when you unlock the doors the parking lights stay on for like a minute...meaning the hids will stay on for a minute ( bad for the hid to not warm up and shut off so quick )

to by pass this instead of wiring to the parking light wire them to the fogs there are two wires (white and black) black being ground and white being power..you will need to tap the white one..

doing this the easy way would be...turn on car steering the wheels all the way to the right so u can get access to the wheel well easily.

unbolt the top bumper bolt
two top fender wall plastic clips

take bumper off a little and pull fender wall back a little giving you access to the fogs ..unhook the fog bulb and then pull back the black plastic a little revealing the wires..

note: not sure if 2008 evo x is like this but i've heard they flash ur parking light that is even worst for the hids...since it doesnt even have any warm up time at all..

I'd like to know more about this purple wire as well. You're supposed to tap the light blue wire behind the drivers side headlight..Just did this tonight and worked like a charm on the first try. Should cost around $20 max for everything from advance auto.

Does this mean you have to turn on the fogs to turn on the headlights? I just followed the directions given at the start of this thread today and the fix works well. It sucked before because I'd have to have the headlights on all the time or else not only would the headlights flicker but sometimes it would shut off my stereo and it also dimmed my navi cause it thought it was night time.

yeah ur fogs and headlights turn on at the same time..i like mine that why when i didnt have them wired together i would always forget to turn on my fogs i like driving with fogs on.

the reason why i did it that why is because on my 2010 x gsr non-sss when you click unlock on the key the daytime running lights (headlights) would stay on for a fraction of a time then turn off or when you stick the key in the ignition. leaving the hids on for only a little bit before they even get a chance to warm up kills the life of the bulbs, also having them turn on more often than they should kills the life of them also.

tapped the wrong line for the "hot wire" or have the lines mixed up going into the relay
