PROBLEM: Installing Seibon OEM CF Front Lip
and you're supposed to transfer the metal clips from the oem lip to the undertray, so you can secure it. it should sit pretty flush after that.and just to clarify for you, you're supposed to take off the oem lip. since this is a replica of the original aero lip, and the aero kit requires you take off the original lip, it's only sensible you have to do the same here.
seibon stuff is a hit or miss at times, sure, but at least it's better than, say, ViS. their stuff truly sucks.
no you cant take off the existing lip.. theres no way no how you can attach the undertray to the lip. It doesnt matter if the fiberglass mounts are mounted on top or on the bottom of the undertray because the undertray sits the way it does. theres no way to extend it or anything. The lip is designed like the oem aero lip but it doesnt include that hanger plastic piece like you see on service manual.. The only way to get it to work is to shave off the lip.. i wont have time to mess with this til prob next week.. i'll keep everyone posted to how i made it out..
Another option for ppl that dont want to modify the lip is to just remove the plastic undertray completely. Its not needed but it does keep your engine bay cleaner significantly cleaner if u have it on which MOST ppl do. I'll be dropped on TEIN springs prob next week if the weather here clears up.. then the ground will prob chew it up anyways =/

when i was considering seibon skirts i pm'd quite a few people on here on what they thought about fitment. none said i should get it, needless to say i am going for OEM skirts.
to the OP good luck.
to the OP good luck.
Problem solved.. I finally fitted the lip over the factory lip.. It required a lot of trimming from one end of the lip that wraps around the corner of the bumper. Just so anybody else that buys the seibon lip knows what to do.
