HELP: Non SSS HID Install Mess!!!

Ok, Just bought my X about a week ago and picked up 2 HID kits from DDM Tuning. One kit for my highs and one kit for my lows.

I pulled the bumper and did a very clean thorough install and made sure everything worked. I put the car all back together and when i got in the car to leave, i turned the car on and the front left low is flickering and the front right low wont come on.

I try to turn the lights off and on while the car is still running and i get the same issue. If i turn the lights on before i start the car then leave them on they are fine but id rather not do that so please help me stop the flickering and figure out why the right light doesnt turn on.

the flickering/not turning on is because your car has DRL (daytime running lights). long story short, the DRL doesn't feel enough power into the ballasts for HID to run correctly. search the forums. there's a couple solutions out there.
theres people who make "kits" that remove the flickering and i think theres another one that has a wiring trick to eliminate DRLs completely.

ps. dont let it flicker right now. it'll destroy your HIDs. just keep your headlights on when driving until you get a fix.

As mentioned above, you need a DRL "killer" There's a thread on here for doing this and / or vendor that sells the harness' for accomplishing the same.

just drive with your lights on. its the exact same thing as the DRL killer.

and the X has a auto-shutoff for your headlights like 2 seconds after you open the door with key out of ignition so you don't even have to worry about forgetting to shut it off.

That rellay harness will not work either , it is the same problem that is on the Lancer fourms . The relay needs compelete 12 volts to trigger the relay on and since the Drl lights power less then 12 it will make the relay go crazy .

pull pin 13 in the fuse box. that will disable your drl completely.

Correct, for an SSS equipped X but not for a non-SSS which the OP has.

no its not. cause our drl uses the same bulb as our low beams. sss has a separate bulb for drl.
