AEM boost gauge video..injen intake

Hey guys just showing the temp mounting solution for my boost gauge..Ran it out the side and up the fender works great! Also have the Injen Intake and I was wwondering if you take the weather stripping off that contacts the headlight if it would allow for cold air to the filter???noob question just spit balling lol PLEASE check out the video!!!!!!

I think you will get cooler air yes. The part I would not like is that bugs can now get into your engine bay and splat on stuff and make a mess. The way I look at it is we have intercoolers for a reason. So getting cooler air to the intake filter pre turbo, pre intercooler will have no effect on performance. So I think it's not worth the bug mess

You would also have a problem with water flowing towards your filter. Remember that the surface tension between the water and the plastic will allow it to flow upwards, under the hood and towards that filter. ( Like droplets on your windshield )
And we all know that Water + Intake = BAD!

Ok thanks! That was my main concern with the water flowing up to the filter and theres a couple of fuses really close too. Thanks for the info guys.

You could make a small air router out of fiber glass if you are skilled enough. Its not to hard, but making the mold can be tricky. This would help you get more cold air to your filter and add a more custom look too!
