Transfer case, TC-SST Transmission and Rear Differential drain bolt/fill up location

If the service manual is unclear for some of you. Here are pictures of the drain bolts and fill up hole location for front Transfer Case, TC-SST MR transmission and Rear Differential. Brand fluids is up to you.


Front Transfer Case.





TC-SST Mr Transmission only.




TC-SST Mr Transmission fill up hole.
Located on top, underneath the air filter box which will require removal.




Rear Differential drain bolt. Labeled gear oil with arrow. "Big Bolt"







Rear Differentiall Fill up hole. Labeled Gear oil with arrow.
" Bolt is facing toward front of vehicle"

how does one get ahold of a service manual?

can anyone point me towards what type/weight fluid is supposed to go in the front Transfer Case and Rear Differential? Or just tell me what kind?

diaqueen lsd fluid, pick up at dealer for about $43

Amsoil, Royal Purple, Redline etc. Make sure the gear oil are 75w - 90 lsd. One quart is enough for front and back.

Since its not pictured.....

For the ATF rear diff fill it is *NOT* the bolt pointing toward the rear that looks just like the fill bolt for the gear oil (that points forward). You have to go over the rear crossmember to see it and it is right in the center of the diff.

If it looks like a mounting bolt, it probably is.

Not ATF. ATF fluids are only used for the ASC. For ASC, you fill it up in the reservoir which is located in the trunk on the right side panel and yes it is the bolt facing toward the front of vehicle labled gear oil. Dont get other members confuse.

yeah, what hes talking about is a different system, does it need to be done as well?
