[Request] Front Emblem Paint/Vinyl

Yeah, I'm very stupid/lazy to attempt it myself without some kind of guide or something. I've tried Google but didn't find a specific tutorial. So I'll ask here.

I don't understand? Have you ever painted anything? The front emblem is held on by double sided tape. Use some fishing line or some kind of string to take it off, but go VERY slow. Then you can hit it with a little sand paper, prep and prime, and paint. It's pretty self-explanatory..

If you have vinyl, clean it and overlay the vinyl on top. I'm guessing you have never worked that either..

I've never painted anything that has to with cars. Same goes to vinyl on cars.

Give me a break, mate.

Just buy a new front emblem from the dealership and sand & paint. It is very easy to break the diamonds on the front.

i painted mine without ever taking it off the car. I just carefully sand it a little with some super fine grain paper, then VERY VERY carefully taped it off, I took my time then taped newspaper to my tape around the diamond. extended to cover part of the hood and bumper so no over spray would get on it, and painted it. Looks great. The gap b/w the emblem and the black plastic around is perfect for taping up, just leave a little hanging over then use your finger nail or plastic knife to push it into the gap and voila, no paint where you dont want it.

Its very easy bro! just take out the emblem off your car first.Buy some vinyl(i didn't need much)for mine you can sand it if you want. I sanded mine make sure its cleaned, use a brand new razor. buy a craft knife very precise thats what i got, cut out a square piece to cover up the diamond. 1 diamond at a time, use a hair dryer to heat it up then smooth it out so there are no bubbles. Then use your craft knife to cut out the left overs

Yea sorry man I just reread my my post. I didn't mean to sound kinda like a d@#k. Anyway, the front emblem is easy as heck to do. Just go slow amd take your time. I was going to buy a new emblem too but mine came off fine with patience, so don't be worried. But expect to have to redo it once a year or so.. which isn't that bad. The front emblem just gets hit with rocks and stuff over time..

Go to a fabric store and get some red (or color of your choice) vinyl. Cut out shape to match the diamond. Cut out same size of double-stick tape. Clean diamond. Apply tape. Apply vinyl. Repeat for other diamonds. Had mine on for a year now in rain and on the highway and it still looks fine. No paint or hairdryer needed or removing of the emblem required. However on very close inspection this will obviously not look at refined as the other methods.

I painted my emblem when I first got the car in 08 and it still looks perfect. Its all about the work you put into it. Shoot it with one layer of paint and it will look like **** the next day. Take you time to do it right and it will last forever.
Sand it down to the white plastic. Put a few thin layers of primer. Several thin layers of paint then several thin layers of clear coat. 10 thin layers is better than 1 thick layer.
I used a flat head screw driver and 90 degree pick to get it off the car. Paint it off the car so you can lay it down flat and put it in a sterile area to keep dust off it. Anyone can paint anything. Its the time you put into it that makes the difference.

I had mine painted for a while, but I decided to just remove it completely.

Wow, that looks really clean. Was it a hassle?
