I was intersted in getting an aftermarket in dash radio/navi from a buddy that works at car toys. Was wondering if i took that out the factory rockford radio and installed the face kit that would come with a stock navi if that would be the best way to get a nice flush/clean look with it? Has anyone tried this?

The USDM nav bezel is not compatible with aftermarket double-DIN nav units. You'll either have to go aftermarket or get the JDM nav bezel. I'm sure Car Toys can offer you a few different brands to choose from, but from back when I was considering doing an aftermarket nav unit I concluded that the Metra is a piece of crap and the Scosche one probably had the best fit/appearance of the aftermarket choices.

 

Oh ok yeah I will just have to get with him to see. It was just a idea that came across my head but thanks for the info.
