Side Marker Mod / JDM Solaris Yellow with Pics

It's all in the details...

Not as hard as thought:

Stock:

I found that just using a hack saw blade by hand is best. dremel may be too aggressive.

Cut 1:

Cut 2:

Cut 3:

Opened:

Filed the edges to make smooth for good glue contact. Make sure you blow out the lenses clear of any plastic crumbs. Switched bulbs and applied a little super glue:

Applied a little clear silicon sealer to keep out the moisture:

Fin:

Took me about 30 minutes per light. I know it seams like a lot of work to change a bulb and if it blows out I will have to repeat the process, but like i said, it's all in the details...

i never understood why they can't just make the bulb replaceable instead of the whole housing.

I did this a while back and used chrome bulbs for a clear look.

Stock is on the left, my modified clear one on the right.

Slide it towards the door and lift the other end.

Nice work! I should try it soon too.

I believe the US is the only place that requires to put orange stuff on cars.

Still trying to figure out how the orange markers help to improve safety haha...
