Assist grip sunglass holder

Here's some pics of a sunglass holder thing in place of the accessory grip. I got tired of clipping them onto the sun visor or tossing them under the climate controls.

I got it from here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Thankfully it doesn't say JessicaAlba anywhere on the box lol

There's a spring on one side, pretty strong, but the spring back action gets sticky once you torque the bolts down. Probably gets hung up on the headliner or tweaked a bit. It only needs a light push up though and seems to stay closed. I figure a spacer would help. But fit is good, and color (grey) matches the headliner pretty well.

As far as being in the way, I'm 6'2" and still using stock Lancer seats, and have an inch or two if I get out of the car completely upright. Don't think I'll have an issue hitting my head on this.

Not yet sure about rattles but I'm sure I can pad it and add some soft tape to take care of anything.

Pretty cool. Thanks for the info. My sister just bought a new outlander. I'll probably pick up a couple of these.

Thanks fellas. Yeah, easy little mod but helps livability.

I forget that the thing is even there. The sunglasses never rattle. But they're there when you need them, not in the glove box rolling around with charging cables.

How does the old handle come off? Just pop off a cover and unscrew? The listing showed removing a headliner, but obviously not all cars are the same.

Yeah if you look at the first pic, the top one is the OEM handle. On the right side of that, you see the cover flipped up. You just gently stick a screwdriver and pop it off, then it's just a bolt on each side.

No need to take off the headliner.
