Great idea and work! I'm still blown away that plastic mud guards could be so heavily overpriced, but I guess that's where they make their money... I had a quick question, I recently purchased a set of Mud Guards that come with metal screws, and was wondering if the threading on the car is plastic or metal. Just that I'd like to use the metal ones for added durability, but do not want to strip the threads if they're plastic. Cheers!

Actually they are the plastic snap-in type fasteners, so no threads. I would just reuse the stock snaps (if you can) or buy some similar replacement snaps from Lowe's if the stock ones are too short.

Thats nice looking very subtle.
Looks nicer than the rally armor. They should make it subtle like that.

Like This?

Why are you criticizing, when you dont know what are you talking about?

Also there is differences between universal and customized , which are leads to the actual real protection and longevity...
not to mention the material too...

It is all personal preference. I personally wont put it on. Just like i wont use Home depo front lip. Remember that thread?
I had a money to buy a car for +30k, and mods. I wont ruin it with autozone universal parts.
Just as a same, why i dont buy my clothes from Canal street NY./china town/
Looks silly the misspelled Calvin Klein or Banana Republic when you go to your date, with your girlfriend.

but that is just me

Autozone mudflaps:

I'd rather have chipped paint.

I know, they don't look that great, IMHO, but I do see their functionality. I realize that protecting one's investment, especially the paint, is very important! I don't know if it's just the roads here in Phoenix, but I have about 650 miles on my new Evo X and haven't shown any signs of nicks or scratches.

If I do start showing any though, I will likely take these suggested measures, as I am pretty **** about the paint job on my new car!

Thanks for the good idea and pictures!
