I had the same issue. This is what I did. In this order(and it got it off)

Toothbrush and tooth paste: I "brushed" each spot with it than wiped it off and used a wet cloth to clean.

WD40 : ToothBrush and brushed.

BrakeClean(2+2): (I love this stuff, If I could use it on food I would.) Again ToothBrush and scrubed.

I than followed this up with a soaking of ArmorAll. It need 2coats of ArmorAll, 1 per day.

Most likely the 2+2 would have worked from the start, but you have to becareful of it b/c it is strong stuff. Someone might tell you peanut butter and a toothbrush, but that only covers the are with peanut-oil, hiding the problem.

The car looks like I didnt screw up

Take it to the dealer and get them to take care of it cuz its still such a new car thats bull if they have spots and other defects. Plus if they mess up the paint oh well they will fix it but if you mess up the paint you gonna have to get it painted by mitsubishi and thats gonna cost $$$$$$$

That didn't work for me when I tried it. It just covers up the white residue, but does nothing to remove it. You need to remove it first.

Trust me....you want that Magic Eraser.

Yes!!

The beauty is, you can find that product anywhere. It works on practically everything.

Not sure of the cleaner it uses, but I wouldn't use it on actual paint just to be safe. Just use it on the black bumper cap (the color is molded in)

Good call for the future or those who have not waxed yet. Use masking tape.

painters tape for me... it takes quite a bit longer. But on the bright side, after your done, you can drive around for a bit before taking the tap off and experience the feeling of dumb rice! I haven't done so myself, but I hear it can be an interesting experience.
