OEM Navigation Installed
Is your Nav even working? You should also have the GPS antenna. Did it come with the unit or did you you buy it seperate? This box from what I understand goes just behind the glove box. If you don't have this maybe that is the reason your unit is still playing while you drive.
the dvd stopped playing as soon as i got out of the driveway
nav is working, i was just not able to include the gps antenna in the picture.
the gps antenna came with the install kit. actually its not behind the glove box. it is installed above the nav unit itself attached to the bottom of the dashboard. there is a provision for it. it is somewhere in between the dash and the nav unit.

^ _ Thanks Beetle_ for pointing me to this thread for the photo of the back of the Nav unit I was looking for.
It looks to me like there are no pre-amp outputs on this thing. Has anyone hooked up an aftermarket amp to the OEM navigation? How do you do it?
Also, does anyone know what the power output for internal amp in this thing is?
Thanks.

I decided to post a couple of pictures of how the nav with the bracket and wiring harness should look like for future reference, especially to those who might come across a used nav for sale and without the instruction sheet.

I put the nav/bracket/wiring haness last night, took about 30 minutes. this morning i did the rest and took me another maybe 30 minutes.

I have a question to those that needed the patch to watch dvd's. does it take a while before the nav knows that you are in motion? i started the car and it played the movie, i put it in first gear and moved forward and it was still playing. i put it in reverse and it was still playing.
