Can you please provide us with the name of your dealership and who you worked with so we can investigate these leather covers?

You have to understand our skepticism, $1300 is very cheap. Chances are high that our own dealerships will charge much more than that. The more info you can provide us, the more leverage we will have to get the same work done for the same price.

Thanks!

very true.

nonetheless seatcovers will only protect it at a certain point, cant expect that once seatcovers are removed the suede would still be in pristine shape. this is based on years of using seatcovers. hence i would rather the OEM suede gradually lose its quality than cover it up now.

either way i am sure its a win win situation.

You can call Moe at Sam Swope Mitsubishi (502-499-3844).

BTW, the seat covers replace the cloth seat covers that come with the car...In other words, it turns the seats you have into "real" leather seats.

Sorry I have not been able to find the invoice, I have been moving this week and I don't know where most of my things are at the moment....on the up side, in the first real highway test of my EVO I got 25 MPG doing 80.

I just heard back from moe. He said that there is no part number and if your dealer is a part of the "Mitsubishi Leather Program" you can get it. I saw a flyer for it at my dealership. He said that the dealer doesnt install the covers but a Certified Mitsubishi Trim shop does. He also has information on local certified trim shops.

I just posted that it isn't a dealer part. You have to go to a dealership that is affiliated with the Mitsubishi Leather option. Look up like 2-3 posts.

I think it will be helpful for all Evo owners who is looking for some luxury. I just got mine done today full leather seating and top slide sunroof ! I don't want to steal those people's business, but I only pay $1100 for mine.

oh by the way, They're Mitsu certified leather company if you look it up. There is no such thing call "part number" !! Just ask for leather option at your local dealership and they will send your car to some leather dealer. Different Dealers work with different leather dealers. You just gotta be careful who your dealer is dealing with. In my case, I searched and go to the leather dealer myself. Cut the middle men will save you a $$$$. Be smart my Evo friends !

I sell boats and spoke to a local leather shop I work with. They quoted me a bit less than 1300.00 to put leather in the GSR and insisted that it would be of higher quality than anything from Mitsubishi. Consider that 1300 is NOT cheap. Usually luxury packages from the factory include leather AND a bunch of other upgrades and average about the same cost.
For example, if you buy an Outlander and order the luxury package you get:

Auto-leveling Xenon HID headlamps, leather seating surfaces, power driver's seat and heated front seats.

And invoice on that is 1400.00. So 1300.00 JUST for leather is not all that amazing. I'm still getting leather though!
