Faded Trim

I don't use my car very often since I have a work van, so it sits in the florida sun all day. About a year ago, my trim (between the window and the door) started fading, I was wondering if any one could tell me how I could repaint it. I wouldn't mind replacing it, just can't find anyone who sells it.

Thanks

Wrong Forum buddy. Take it back to the dealer.

Try Mother's Back to Black. I use it on all my black trim. Not sure if it will fix yours, though.

That's not faded trim... that is peeling. The only way to fix that is to replace the trim piece. Then use some UV protectant on it so it won't peel.

Good info. I thought it was fading problem but seems that it is actually a peeling problem.

That's gotta be the worst peeling I've seen. Not to blame you but, are you and a passenger driving with your arm out the window all the time? If the dealer won't cover it, consider repainting it with Plastikote's Trim Black. It's trim-specific paint.

Yup, they make the car better looking so more people look at it, and the stares scares the trim and make is nervous. So it starts to shed.
