Question aero kit or NO!! aero kit...

so im wondering, what you guys think regarding the evo X aero kit. do you guys like it or not, would it be better to just buy an after market set, for cheaper.....or just buy it since we have heard that it aides in preventing sum rock chips on the sides.

me, im confused, depending on the pic, the color, and the height of the car....sometimes i feel the aero and sometimes i dont.

so yea i just want to get u guys' opinion.....thanks

p.s. u can post pics to defend ur view....this I'll be the official like it or not....thread...

(I added a Poll, to statistically see wuts up....)

for me it feels like the aero kit was a bit of an afterthought for the design of the X. While in some cases it compliments the rest of the car, the majority of the time it just doesnt look like it belongs on there IMO.

Take a quick look at the sideskirts where the skirt meets the front fender line, have you ever seen an OEM lip kit stick out that far? there is a clear obtrusion of the line that's made by the wheel arch, it just doesn't connect well, unlike the rear valences that seem to look like they belong...

Once again, sometimes it looks good, but most of the time it looks like a $2000 afterthought.

yea ur right the more i look at pics, it just seems like it sticks out too much. nevertheless if it aides in preventing rocks chips...idk....maybe it might be worth it...or do the mud flaps totally do the job...but then again...mudflaps arent too aesthetic...hahaha

All the negative coments are either 3 things.

Haters cause they didn't get it.

Personal taste.

Have no idea what looks good.

The aero kit makes the evo 10 look like a real evo if you ask me. It really sets it apart from the stock look. If you haven't seen them side by side, well you can't really apreciated.

And actually they protect the main body from rock chip. And there's an issue with the side skirt on one side getting loose, due to the plastic bracket they use. <---Only problem that i know of.

Once again, if you haven't seen both in person dont coment because pictures do not show the difference at all.

My car came with it, I sold it. That should indicate how I feel about it.

Kit looks nice and all but isn't it just added weight? I don't think it has any aerodynamic value, or does it?

Supposed to make the aero work better.

I got it to avoid rock chips and it has bee successful so far. I like the looks either way.

if you want it more for a solution to the rocks, there is a sticky at the top. $5 solution. But if you want it for the looks and the rock protection is a bonus, then get it. Its YOUR car so it all comes down to what you want to do. Its your money so you should be happy. If you dont like it you can always sell it to someone.
But just do what will make you happy and not what everyone else says.

I like the aero kit, but for $2K, I'd rather choose my own aftermarket one.

im neutral...does anyone have just the rear pieces installed? im tempted to just put those on, i think the stock sides and front are aggressive enough...not sure how it would look with just the rear though?
