I used to go to VW/Audi meets in Florida which is very big. There are very old and latest models and even some BMW and Porsche love there too. It is a big meet every year and has vendors and sponsors there. I wish Evo's has something like that...

It was a huge turn out, we were suppose to have around 30 Evos but some couldn't make because of work or other reasons, but all in all it was fun. I would definately recommend for each region to organize a yearly BBQ or picnic.

do you know if they plan on doing it again? maybe late this year or sometime early next year?

I know there has been talk of either doing it annually or bi-annually (fall and spring) but the next one hasn't been confirmed, but keep checkin the southern region forum because I'm sure in the upcoming future there will be another one. Probably spring of 09, before the weather gets to hot.
+1 most likely we will try for fall before it gets cold and spring before it gets too hot, we hope that many sa and or houston members will be able to attend with prior notice, keep watching the south region.
