Blacked out badges might be quite nice. Has anybody seen any anywhere?

May want to use Goo-gone to remove some sticky residue when you're done. This is pretty much what I did. Only risks are removing it too quickly & hard & possibly taking off a miniscule bit of paint. The "Mitsubishi" one snapped into separate pieces for me & did not come off as easily as the "Lancer" one. I left the "Evolution" badge & the mitsu symbol on my trunk, so I like that one, but I do also like the completely debadged look.

hope this helped
thanks!

Rubbing alcohol will dissolve the sticky stuff fast, then use fishing wire or dental floss to cut underneath it. Make sure you have a cloth and some water handy to wipe off the alcohol so it doesn't get on any of the emblems you don't want removed (and so it doesn't sit and dry on your paint). Then once they're all off and you're left with sticky gunk, take some regular ol' peanut butter, put it all over the sticky stuff, let it sit for 30 minutes, go out and wash it all off with some water and a cloth. Bam. Done. And yes, the peanut butter really does work, and in my experience works better than goo-gone for most things (like this, for example) and won't hurt your paint AT ALL.

Yeah.....I did the same thing with my VIII, it was a sweltering 98F degees and me and couple friends hooked them badges up. Except I was replacing the little evolution with the Big "EVOLUTION VIII"........heatgun (low setting), waxed floss and goo gone (for the residue). Worked like a champ.......I'm just taking the Mitsubishi badge off the X though...maybe the lancer badge too....we'll see.
