I would rather have it in the center than drilling holes in my front bumper.

There are some threads in the how to section for license plate mounting. Very useful. I put mine in the center, as one of the threads show. Installed with zip ties (from Tractor supply-the bigger zip ties), onto a metal license plate bracket from an auto parts store. The license plate is bolted on to the bracket and the bracket is zip tied to the bumper. Only thing visible is the bolts/plate; no holes in bumper.

I've have been pulled over so many times because of my plate mounted on the drivers side (from dealer) that I carry the factory pictures, and the factory mounting instructions for the tag bracket with me. And yes, I've had to show it to the cops so they didn't write me a repair order.....which they have done once before.

I was in the middle of a 7 car caravan going to the track one day, and a Maryland state trooper pulled me over to say I didn't have a front tag.......I said, I do sir it's right up there. He looked, said oh, sorry, on your way, lol.

I don't understand why they freaking care so much. IMO, the only reason I can see, is for shooting radar??

Alot of states dont require a front plate. I dont think its for radar. Just some stupid law .

407 in canada requires two plates when they take a photo of your car entering / leaving the toll road. They use this to identify the car correctly and prevent people from covering up thier plates.

This is one of the reasons its required up here. Im not sure how the states are with toll roads but it could be the same reason in certain areas.
