new evo x lisence plates

all the x's at my dealer had the lisence plates mounted in the middle of the front grill, looks like &^%t, wanted to know if they sold the side lisence plate mount as an aftermarket kit, and how hard do you think it would be to install

Pics? This is wrong - the recommended OEM placement is on the right when looking at the front of the car.

Australian delivered X's come with the plate holders centre mounted from Japan:

Agree it looks like ***, like you guys it was to stave off being hassled by the police constantly as many of us IX owners (not me personally) have been questioned about having the plates mounted on the left hand side and them not complying even though it came from factory that way. Some of us carried an official letter from Mitsubishi Australia stating that the design meets all vehicle standards just so we can save the hassle when questioned by police.
