Night+Day PhotoShoots

So after my complete failure of a photo shoot earlier today I had to redeem myself. So i got a hold of a DSLR and took some actual photos tonight.
Let me know what you think and I really tried a lot harder to get some decent pictures.

Pics I took today in some light!

And this one was just messing with the F stop and practicing with it

And one more during a full moon

Maybe turn up the ISO a little more and put the car closer to the parking lights to drop a little more light on the car like a stage.

I think it's not bad though.

much better than the last but you still have a lot to learn before you get a "good" photoshoot down. look at other greatly rated photoshoots on the forums like Archis red evo. he takes unbelievable shoots i would look and use his threads as examples,

No, if anything he should lower the ISO so that the longer exposure will yield sharper and more vivid pictures.

The problem with the pictures is the lighting. Photography is all about using natural light and manipulating artificial light. There is not enough light in these pictures.

Focus on the subject is also an issue. Read up on depth of field. You don't want all of that background junk to be in focus.

Thanks everyone for the advice
So now I know what to work on in the future and to help better my photography skills. As some of you said it just takes experience and research. But now that I have a DSLR I will keep practicing to hopefully produce some good pictures like I see on this forum all the time.

If you really want to light up the night when there isn't much lighting available, get a tripod and do a long exposure.

or you can get a flash and do some light painting

^^ Yea i did use a tripod and did 10 sec exposures but my ISO was up way to high so some of the pics came out grainy. But yea a flash would be nice

I wouldn't use a flash, especially on a subject that is reflective.
